Our research project (Principal Investigator: Makoto Takeda) has been selected for the research area "Interdisciplinary Cutting-edge Research" of the basic research on the control of emerging and reemerging infectious diseases of the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED). 

Research title "Research and development for morbillivirus infections" 

Our goal is to establish a comprehensive understanding of measles virus (a morbillivirus that infects humans) and various other morbilliviruses and new strategies for their control.
