Professor Makoto Takeda to Chair the 68th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Clinical Virology

Professor Makoto Takeda, Department of Microbiology, The University of Tokyo, will serve as President of the 68th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Clinical Virology, to be held on December 18–19, 2027, at Kumamoto-jo Hall in Kumamoto, Japan.

The meeting will be held jointly with the 31st Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Vaccinology, chaired by Dr. Kengo Sonoda of KM Biologics Co., Ltd.

Under the theme “Building a Resilient Ecosystem for Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response,” the joint meeting will bring together researchers and healthcare professionals from a broad range of fields to discuss the latest advances in virology, viral infectious diseases, vaccines, epidemiology, prevention, and control.
