Published paper on inactivation of RS viruses at low temperatures
In general, when storing viruses for a short period (several hours), it is recommended to store them at a low temperature (4 degrees Celsius) rather than at room temperature. However, with some strains of RS virus, storing them at 4 degrees Celsius may actually result in a loss of infectivity, and we elucidated some of the molecular mechanisms behind this phenomenon. This knowledge is important not only for deepening our understanding of RS virus but also for conducting RS virus surveillance.
